Exhilarating EP XLCR from Nottingham hip hop newcomer Humor

Boasting some seriously versatile rapping and an inventive ear for production, Nottingham hip hop artist Humor seems certain to make an impact on the UK scene.

His new self-produced EP is a hi-octane thrill ride that blurs elements of hip hop, grime and electronica. ‘TLC’ is the lead single, which sees Humor spitting energetically over a murky backdrop of squelchy synths and punchy 808s.

His beats meanwhile draw from a diverse palette of grime hip-hop, deep/tech house, electronica and 90s R&B. Inspired to produce his own instrumentals after struggling to afford decent beats, he has since honed his craft into a creative and polished sound.

Humor’s single ‘I Told You’ from his first project was previously chosen by Tom Robinson for a BBC Introducing Mixtape on Radio 6.

On top of this accolade, Humor has a Masters in software engineering.

XLCR is out 21st October
