English born, Australian raised singer-songwriter Daisy Hicks returns with the laid back jazzy festive single ‘Christmas Without You’. Although jazzy, the single has strong elements of pop, making it unique but addictive. The single will soon be followed by ‘French Cafe’ set for release early 2017.
Hicks grew up surrounded by music as she is the daughter of legendary jazz drummer Tony Hicks and related to international recording artist Chris Rea. This inspired her to train and start her career in jazz but she soon developed her sound and explored her musical horizons. By the age of 19 Hicks was signed by Concept Music, with whom she released her debut album ‘Mistress’. The successful album recieved radio play on the likes of KISS, Radio 1 and Capitol.
Since her debut album Hicks has collaborated with the likes of Aron Friedman, Jeff Franzel and Malcom Maddock, just to name a few. Her music has been appreciated worldwide, being played in shops, bars, airlines and even on the hit US TV series ‘Pretty Little Liars’.
‘Christmas Without You’ to be released 2nd Decemeber follows a laid back jazzy style with elements of pop, giving it that extra edge. Hicks will be donating 10% of digital sales this year to BBC’s Children In Need.
