NEW EP FROM AUSSIE DUO TALL POPPIES

Capture

Rock version of Clean Bandit’ release 6 track treat on August 24th

East London based but with Australian roots, Tall Poppies are an alternative indie four piece who have played all over the world. Matching neat, melodic indie pop with darker, creative notions, Aussie twins Susan and Catherine spin tales of life from both sides of the planet alongside violinist Diarmuid and Doug Fink – previously the drummer in Noah and the Whale.

Having been described as a ‘Rock version of Clean Bandit’, the band also bear similarities Kate Bush and Camera Obscura, with influences including the likes of The Smiths, David Bowie, Belle and Sebastian and Pulp.

The result of this cocktail is a 6 track EP which blends indie sensibilities with pop elements and roots sounds to create something a little different – but immediately accessible.
